While driving in our communities in Winnipeg & Rural Manitoba, you may have noticed more roundabouts in this community than used in older neighbourhoods. This is because roundabouts are much safer in high traffic areas than traditional stop signs. When used properly, roundabouts have proven to reduce collisions and the severity of them by promoting continuous traffic flow, lower speeds and one-way travel.

At Qualico Communities, having a clean, safe, and welcoming neighbourhood is a top priority. From the early stages of development to move-in day, we work with our builders to ensure each community is well-maintained and enjoyable for everyone.

One important part of this process is the use of construction waste bins, which are placed on-site by builders as homes are being constructed. These bins are essential for keeping job sites tidy, minimizing debris, and maintaining the overall appearance of the neighbourhood during construction in new phases.

However, from time to time, these bins are being used by residents for personal garbage, landscaping waste, and even large household items. While having a large bin close by to dispose of any personal trash seems quite convenient; we ask that local residents take advantage of the services available to them through the City of Winnipeg.
